Sardinia Blog is an independent editorial guide to Sardinia, written by people who live and work on the island. We cover the things visitors actually ask about — which beach suits a family with small kids, where locals eat in Olbia, which hike is worth the early start — and the things they don't know to ask yet.
We are not a booking site. There are no listings to push, no commissions on the restaurants we recommend, and no sponsored rankings. When we link to a place, it's because we've been, or because someone we trust has.
How the site is organised
Everything on the site is pinned to the map — beaches, restaurants, hikes, towns, news and events. If you prefer to browse, start with the eight regions of Sardinia or jump straight into a category like beaches or restaurants.
Part of the Rental12 ecosystem
Sardinia Blog is editorially independent, and part of the Rental12 ecosystem of travel and hospitality projects. The blog stands on its own: its job is to be the most useful, honest guide to the island we can write.

How we use AI
Every article here starts with a person. Our writers and local contributors go to the places we cover, eat in the restaurants, walk the paths, take the photographs and form their own opinion. Their notes, and their judgement, are the article.
We then use AI tools for the parts of publishing that are craft rather than knowledge: turning those notes into a first draft, ordering a structure, tightening language, catching inconsistencies, and translating between our five editions. AI does not decide what we cover, it does not go anywhere, and it has no opinion of its own that we publish.
Our English edition is read and edited by a member of our editorial team before it goes live. Our French, Italian, German and Dutch editions are translated automatically from that edited English and are not individually reviewed. If something reads oddly in your language, the English is the version a person signed off, and we would like to hear about it.
Our place listings, the practical panels showing opening hours, ratings and contact details, are built from Google's business data and summarised automatically from public reviews. We do not check each one by hand, and opening hours in particular change without warning. Please confirm anything that matters before you travel for it.
Our photographs are real. We do not generate images of places, food or people. Where a photograph has been edited, the editing is limited to brightness, colour and cropping, and never adds anything to a scene or removes anything from it.
We aim to publish only specifics that a person has checked against a real source, and when we find that we have got a price, a date or a fact wrong we correct it and say so.
Responsibility for everything published on Sardinia Blog rests with Lion Development S.r.l., registered in Milan, Italy, and operating from Olbia in Sardinia. If you think we have published something inaccurate, write to hello@sardinia.blog and a person will read it.
