Corrections

When we get something wrong, we fix it and say so.

What we correct

Factual errors: a wrong number, date, name, place, price or rule; a quote attributed to the wrong person or translated wrongly; a source link that points to the wrong document. We also correct claims that were true when published but are presented as if they still are.

How we correct

  • We fix the item and add a dated note at the end: "Correction, [date]: an earlier version said X. It is Y." We do not change facts silently.
  • If the error was in the title or summary, the note goes directly under the summary as well.
  • Spelling, grammar and wording that do not change the meaning are fixed without a note.
  • New information that does not mean we were wrong is marked "Updated: [date]", not as a correction.
  • Corrections are made in the English edition and carried into the other four languages.
  • Every correction is listed in the log below.

How to report an error

Email hello@sardinia.blog with the link to the item and what you think is wrong. A person reads every message and replies within 12 hours.
