The small battery-powered train that takes visitors through the Galleria Henry mine tunnel in Buggerru has been refurbished by Valente S.p.A., an Italian maker of rail systems for mines and tunnels. Mine visits on the train have been suspended for over a year, and it should be ready to run again in the coming months. No reopening date has been announced.
The ride covers about 1.5 km of the old mine railway. The work was commissioned by the Comune di Buggerru and funded by the Regione Sardegna. The sources give no prices, times or booking details, so check locally before planning a visit. The site is part of the Parco Geominerario Storico e Ambientale della Sardegna.
