Portoscuso is marking autumn with its traditional Castagnata, a chestnut festival set for Sunday, November 8, 2026. It starts at 3:30 pm in Piazza Giovanni XXIII, and the Comitato Vergine D'Itria is organizing it.
Hot roasted chestnuts are the main attraction. Stands will also sell popcorn, cotton candy and crêpes, so it works as an easy afternoon snack stop. Rodalù will entertain children in the square, which makes the event a good fit for families.
