Spiaggia La Pelosa, on the Sassari-Logudoro coast, is one of Sardinia's best-known beaches, framed by shallow turquoise water and pale sand that give it a distinctly tropical feel. A small island sits just offshore, adding to the scenery that draws swimmers and divers alike to its calm, clear waters.
The beach is popular and access is managed carefully: numbers are limited, entry often requires a fee and booking ahead, and a mat is required underfoot to protect the dunes from erosion. Paid parking serves the area, and facilities include both an organised beach club section and a free stretch of sand. Visitors are advised to arrive early, as the beach fills quickly, particularly in the warmer months.
Despite the crowds, La Pelosa remains a striking stop along this part of the coast, with the gently sloping seabed making it suitable for families as well as those simply after a swim in some of the clearest water in the region.
